I have had the ARB diff breather kit in my Amazon cart for quite a while now.

And yes, I know there are cheaper ways to do it, I have homebrewed breathers on my other 4x4.

I just ordered my parts from Amazon yesterday. Should be here tomorrow.
Then the tailgate cover, dual battery set up, engine and cargo lights, rear diff breather, power supply for Weboost, and a few other things are going on.

No offroaderlanding trips for me lately either, but got to do a short aquatic expedition this past weekend.

Buuuut we took my wife’s car because reasons:

4Runner got new front wheel bearings, and I cranked the coilovers up about half an inch and added some OME trim packers in the rear to compensate for all the armor I’ve added in the last year. I still have a to-do list a mile long but at least it’s all stuff that can be done after I get it aligned.

son of a bitch. Guess it's a 3Runner for a few days until parts get here.

I apparently didn't seat the inner hub seal completely, so it and the seal on the CV outer got nuked.

Sucks.
I bought a HF seal driver set because of stuff like that. For some reason I have the worst luck or "feel" for seals and gaskets.

I've done a few things to my rig lately. I went away from my homebrew front and rear rack solution and went full Prinsu. It's much better now.

Then became the process of attaching stuff on top (a new RTT will take up the rear). I fab'd mounts for the solar panel and for the RotoPax

I'm often camping by myself as basecamp for dirtbiking trails. Often where I basecamp there's a sliver of cell phone coverage, but not enough to really send or receive texts. Twice last summer my wife had issues where she couldn't contact me. So I decided to get a WeBoost Drive Reach cell phone signal booster. I installed mine today and came up with a mount using RAM ball components. That was I could lower it when driving, and raise it when I'm at camp.

Finally today I made a cantilever mount off the side of the rack for my RoadShower.

My new RTT will be delivered on Tuesday. I'll have to give it a winter camping shakedown soon.

The F-150 requires drilling to install rivnuts in the cab. I was a bit hesitant to drill into a perfectly good roof but it was easy and the alignment overall was more foregiving than I expected. It came out great.
Most Toyotas have factory installed rivnuts in the roof that makes installing Prinsu racks a breeze.

Keep an eye on the rotopax on the roof. Guy I was on a trailride with recently had fuel leaking down the side of his truck after his puffed up from the desert sun. Mine on my swingout swells and seeps a touch in hot weather.

Curious to see how the WeBoost works. I have some experience with Wilson's home cell repeaters and results have been mixed. Kinda eyeing one of those for my truck (I think I can get them at dealer price).

Hell yeah. Very nice.

I used the exact same mount for my Weboost. Had some rotation in slipstream, but replaced the ball mount screw with a carriage bolt that conveniently fit my bungee slot exactly. No problems so far with new screw.

I went with the Waterport for my shower/rinse off in a Rago mount.

Hoping to get my low pro winch mount in this weekend along with dual battery. I have a 60W solar panel that I typically slap on top of the RTT when stopped, but I've been considering a hood mounted panel for 85W. I don't really have space for rack-mounted panel unless I rig on top of my gear that I have stowed, which I don't want to do.

That's why I keep mine on the vertical, spout up. Mine puffs some, but I haven't had one blow a seam like I've seen reports of. Even my water cans stay vertical. The only Rotos I put horizontally are the stowage boxes with gear in them.
I've had good results with my Weboost so far. It hits the stated rate of signal improvement, and it gives me much better signal in known dead areas I'm in frequently. There is a newer model than the one I have that is supposed to be even better.

Almost every truck in West Texas oil and gas work has one.  They seem to work well enough.  Can turn a marginal signal into something useable.

I know several folks with WeBoost rigs on their RVs.  They all sing it's praises.  I'm probably going to pick one up before my Spring trip down to the coast.

Done?  As in what?

My wife and I did a trip through ND,  MT,  ID, WY and SD in July.  Had a blast.  Lot of driving on fire and BLM trails in my van.  Nothing wild.  But it was a great time.

Put somewhere around 3800 miles on the van.

I did a thread on it.

Basically, yes, just that. Hit up BLM and FS land to explore, camp, and get away from the world.

Its a group of about 5 - 6 trucks with 3 of us having a lot of experience off the beaten path. Last year we did southwest Colorado and enjoyed every second if it.

A few months ago, I helped a neighbor load several items into a moving truck, and he off the cuff asked if I was interested in buying his little old trailer. For a little steel beast, the price we came to was a steal in my book. I primarily used it for hauling wood from the woods on our firewood gathering runs. Here in Idaho, you acquire a permit for cords of wood, and off you go. A buddy knew I had been shopping for an expedition-style trailer, and he asked, "why not turn Lil Beast into one?" I laughed at first, but we all sat down and started brainstorming. The first thing we did was order a 3500 Dexter Torsion Axle with electric brakes. Pulled the old axle and springs, welded in reinforcements to the bottom, and slapped on the new axle. We removed the original towing point and welded in a 2-inch square tube and ordered an Ark Articulating Off-Road Coupler for 2" Receivers. I'm attempting to locate mount points for Rhino Heavy Duty Bars I had laying around but short of installing an actual track system to the round rail running from front to back, not seeing many options. I figured I would post here for input and updates. Think we are going to weld in a rack that can raise lower the tent using linear actuators, which would also provide a mount point other than the round bar for the RTT....this would also allow me to pull the entire rack off the trailer to use it as a normal trailer with a hoist system in the workshop

I thought it appropriate to lay out all my plans for this little monster. I believe the trailer is an old U-Haul trailer that was decommissioned. 6ft x 4ft. The plan is to install items on the outside of the trailer and the tongue box leaving the interior open to general use etc. The more we plan the less likely that looks LOL

Buyers Products Company 16 in. x 16 in. x 49 in. Black Steel Trailer Tongue Truck Tool Box - Ordered and the plan is to add more 2-inch squares to each angled side at the tongue and mount and weld the tongue box. This should raise the tongue box just high enough not to interfere with the trailer jack. Thought of updating the jack but it works so I think I will leave it as-is unless it proves to be inefficient
Electrical - The primary function of the tongue box will be to house two Odyssey Extreme Series Batteries and an electrical system. (probably will change this out to a LiFepo4 battery) I plan to install a NOCO Genius 2-Bank battery charger along with a Port Plug power inlet for shore power and BlueSea battery switches. I have a Xantrex 806-1220 PROwatt SW 2000 Inverter along with a Renogy Rover 40 Amp 12V/24V MPPT Solar Charge Controller Battery Regulator that will also find a home in here. We'll center the batteries for weight and go from there
Hot Water Heater - Pretty sure we'll also have room to install a hot water system in the tongue box as well for cooking and showers
Roam Vagabond Roof Tent with Annex - I already own a roof tent and we are trying to decide if we want to directly mount it to the round bars or have a lift and lower rack system for the tent. If we go with a lift and lower system, we'll fabricate that and use the areas you can see in the first pictures on the sides to weld in square iron on each side for the raise and lower bars. More than likely will go aluminum for the actual towers attached to the tent platform
Stabilizing Leveling Jacks  2 - We are devising a method to install mount points and install these on the front end and backend
Custom side boxes - We are roughing up a few drawings for boxes to install over the wheel wells for various kitchen storage etc
Bedliner - I plan to Bedliner the entire interior with black Bedliner and olive drab on the entire exterior
Water Tank(s) - Trying to decide how I want to do this. Considering how tall she is now, I MIGHT be able to squeeze a few Valterra RV Water Tanks on her underside. If not, I will have a custom-built for inside the trailer up near the tongue and go with a drawer system for a kitchen

Considering how tall she is now, I MIGHT be able to squeeze a few Valterra RV Water Tanks on her underside

I've been very much wanting to get a trailer rig set up. Really like yours.

What’s the best traction board for the money?

Can’t be a poser until I get a pair.
