The form it takes is in question, but that the groundwork is being laid is undeniable.

Multiple comments about History of the Future, book which details Oculus' acquisition by Facebook. Haven't read it myself, but apparently the parallels are there.

Nasdaq below 13,000 is not a good sign is it? I start to think about closing positions while I still have enough capital to build a recovery.

At some point soon, I'd expect the drop to accelerate. Sure, it will come back. But I'd rather jump off at the beginning. Is it possible a serious downturn is just getting started?

Not a prediction, I'm just fishing for cheap shares. If it hits, fine, if not no-harm-no-foul.

Jebus, came in from snowblowing and opened my laptop. NASDAQ down 450 points is NOT good.

Time to go long on pork bellies...

That's one of the points I found most interesting about the article.  They seem to lowball the companies they buy.

Should we pivot discussion to 'Preparing for the imminent collapse.' yet?

On a totally unrelated note, see my avatar update. It's how I am feeling about the next few years' outlook.

since ARF doesn't update the file name for caching purposes....

This has been a concern of mine also, have been looking at moving some of my more risky holdings back into cash while I am ahead. I don't think its going to slide that hard untill at least after April, if they get this next stimulus package passed it will jump up again and run but a few weeks after that who knows.

I think a lot of the hedge funds and managers are just waiting to get that small investor cheddar and then run it down. But what do I know, I'm just a unemployed oil field worker and not a investment professional....

I wonder if Apple is more likely to buy Aeva with their ~450m market cap and ex-Apple engineer founders.

But yes, with the penny stocks, I agree that it's a matter of holding the ones that seem to have a real future -- long enough for them to realize that future. The question is, how many do you have to buy to get the "one" that hits? I think the odds are better than the lottery if you do your homework, though I'm not expecting a million dollar payout. Still, a big enough possibility to make it worthwhile to take the gamble. Time will tell.

My stop loss executed on gme so that was a net loss but barely. Mvis killed me again today. Down 18% today.

At least it's a bloodbath overall. I needed 30 more to be able to flip gme for a mvis call before the bottom fell out.

I picked up another 1k worth at .60.  Then it fell again.  I'm gonna have to talk to a therapist some day about the raping that happened today.

Glad I sold off the BSQR yesterday, had lots of cash to pick up more MVIS today around $16. Still have some dry powder for tomorrow. I'll use these shares to trade around my core position.

My strategy this week:
Step 1
Wait for 20% pullback
Step 2
Buy
Step 3
Watch another 20% pullback
Step 4
Buy more to average down
Step 5
Watch another 20% pullback
Step 6

9.3% loss today, basically gave up yesterday's gains.

69% gain MTD.
