Brady not even in TB yet, somehow there are rumors he wants to bring in AB. Is this what caused his fallout in NE?

Nah, the talk previously was he was up for trade.
The problem for trading for Gurley is he has a big price tag and a question mark about his knee. The problem for the Rams just keeping Gurley is he has that big price tag and they don't have much cap space. They're paying Goff a metric shit load, they're paying Donald a metric shit load, they're going to have to pay Ramsey a metric shit load, Cooks is getting paid a ton, etc. They're going to have to make space and he is the obvious choice out of the guys making bank there. Everybody else knows that so there is no incentive to offer up anything in trade, and if they force LA into cutting him they can offer Gurley a more appropriate contract. Their only hope was that somebody was willing to pull a Bill O'Brien for Gurley, but nobody did so this was the only move left. edit: here is a snippet from an article talking about the finances of it The Rams running back currently has four years left on an extension that he signed in 2018. If a team trades for Gurley, they'd have to be willing to take on a cap hit of $13 million in 2020, $9 million in 2021, $10 million in 2022 and $12.5 million in 2023, according to Spotrac . The one upside for a team that might trade for Gurley is that they could get out of the deal after just two seasons after paying him an average of $11.5 million per year, which some teams might be able to justify (If the Rams can't trade him and didn't release him, they'd have cap hits of $17.25 million in 2020, $13.2 million in 2021, $14.2 million in 2022 and $12.4 million in 2023. The Rams hits are slightly larger because they pro-rated his signing bonus over the life of the contract). If the Rams cut Gurley , they would take a $12.6 million dead cap hit, but would ultimately save roughly $4.65 million in cap space since Gurley's cap hit in 2020 is $17.25 million. |

When people say dead money, that means leftover guaranteed money for a player that’s not on the roster anymore? And it counts against the cap? View Quote

With the Card's picking up Hopkins and getting instantly better, freeing up cap trading off Johnson they are in a great spot to get even better. NFC West is going to be hell. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Brady playing in TB might almost feel like he's playing in a different league. The paths between those two teams rarely cross. Interestingly, he was won more super bowls (6) than times he has played against the Bucs (4) |

Just had a thought. When the Rams actually played Gurley last year he got rolling pretty decent, I don't think the knee was an issue for him last year but just the lack of reps. I know in 2018 he couldn't go in the postseason and maybe his knee is legitimately bad, but they also used the hell out of him in that 2017 season. What if you put him on this new look Bucs team? Brady, Evans, Godwin, Gurley, etc. There's enough there to spread the load. Gurley can get more reps without having to be as featured as he was in LA. Not to mention all the talk that TB would try to bring AB wherever he ends up. That would be one of the most insane lineups of playmakers I've ever seen.
