I got to fool around with one at my local gunstore. Damn, i'm impressed. Remington has a winner on this one. The whole polymer feel is great. The bushnell 3-9 is well you get what you pay for. The best thing? the trigger pull. Try it, you'll love it.

It does not compare to the 700 in accuracy.reliability is good .this rifle is good enough for hunting which was the purpose and was to be low priced.Not much potential in the accuracy to improve.just the basics.

Before you buy one check with Remington as I heard they had recalled them due to a problem with the bolt. They do not compare to the model 700 with or w/o a recall.

It is totally utilitarian. In a G&A review the best they could get was 2" at 100. If you want a cheap truck gun or one to start a young'n on then it is a good deal, otherwise I would stay with the 700.

Well, let's see,
the barrel is pressed into the reciver which is made from a peice of seemless tubing (pipe), the bolt is a casting and the bolthead is pinned onto the bolt body, and to make it feel smooth, they put a plastic sleeve in the reciver for the bolt to ride on, all if this and the best you'll get out of it is 2" at 100yds, You'd be better of buying a surplus Mosin-Nagant, they'll shoot better than that and you'll save $2-300.00, The 710 is a peice of junk,Remington should be ashamed of it, |

I don't care about the polymer or how they made it. All I know is that it the bolt throw felt "stickier" to me than well polished steel, and it's not very customizable. I don't recall being very impressed with it's trigger compared to a 700's. To anyone wishing to buy, I'd recommend passing and buying a used 700 ADL.

I haven't seen one but over on huntchat.com nobody has had anything good to say about the 710.
