Today as I was aisle surfing at Costco I saw Leupold 10x42 binoculars for $179.  Magnesium body with rubber armor. Made in China. I need a decent pair of binoculars for hunting, so I was intrigued. However, I hit the Google and found absolutely nothing about them.  Anyone have experience with them?

Any recommendations for binocs in the under $250 range?

No help, but I don't buy a binocular without having looked through it.

If you liked the view in the store, buy it.

YMMV.

I was in the same situation as you. I emailed Leupold and asked about the Yellowstone and this is the response I got:

The Yellowstone 10x42mm binoculars are specially made for Costco that is why you are unable to find them on the internet. Glass quality will be similar to the BX-2 series of binoculars. The binoculars will have the Leupold lifetime guarantee.

Hope this helps
