Let me lay out a scenario and hear listers opinions on what the thing to do would be in this case. Let's say you are a man, and your sister has a habit of picking pitiful men. No further say that one of these men mouths off about killing your sister or another member of your family. Now suppose further that in response an individual straightens this no good man out (without guns, of course) and is charged for the incident. Let's say the extent of the incidents is snatching the sad-sack out of bed and throwing him out, and letting him know that his death will result if he ever even thinks those thoughts again.

Now, this under current law (don't ask me to justify it) is considered domestic violence even though this is a sisters boyfriend. Now, in this case if convicted, the man charged would have to surrender firearms, and would lose the right to possess any in the future.

What is the moral or righteous thing to do for the gun-owning man who thinks that it is his responsibility to obey Creator and protect his family?

Consciencious Objector. Liberal Bullshit title for felons under Liberal Bullshit law. Hide guns good. Thank you for sharing your experience. The rest of us now know it is easier to hide a body than threaten some dirtbag.

It is incredible that one can lose his right to own firearms because of a misdemeanor convition. In this state the mere threat of violence against a family member, houshold member etc. meets the criteria of D.V.. There was a case involving an ex-officer of my dept. He had a turbulant relationship with a woman that he had a child with. There was never any Physical violence. He threatened her with harm. He was charged, convicted and lost his job of 15yrs.(Can't own a gun? Can't be a cop. This was the only reason for his termination) That part of the law has been overturned in some federal court juisdictions(D.C. for one) but has never been taken to the Supreme Court that I'm aware of. Little by little they are going to get every currently legal firearm. Probably within our childrens life times.
