According to the secratary of security, a military convoy was doing a routine patrol when some individuals started to shoot from a second story home. They called for back up and that's when they arrested El Chapo's son.

I mean, they might lose some battles but so far they are winning the war. They even have enough man power, and money to fight wars against their competition. Honestly, killing leaders will just turn shit upside down even worse cause the next guy in line is going to be a first generation not fucking around guy. Look to the new generation Jalisco cartel for an example of what that could include. With the money and manpower of the Sinaloa cartel, the Mexicans would need serious help. I’m no expert though.

I honestly don't know if they do, but they use their blackhawks with side mounted mini guns as attack helicopters. With the amount of sicarios in the city, I think it might be a bad idea for them to even try to use their choppers to go on the offense.
