I can often see the launches from here in SW Fl but too many clouds here today. Watched on the NASA channel. I've never seen them land the first stage like that. Very cool.

I'd seriously plan a vacation around that (Cape Canaveral KOA) but the damn launch delays are often enough I'd have to be lucky as hell to plan it at the right time.

I want another heavy launch.

Though IIRC they need to build more center cores for it since none of them have made it all the way back whole.

BREAKING: Just Read the Instructions (aka Marmac 303) is to leave Los Angeles and transit the Panama Canal on 15th August.

The destination is not known but Port Canaveral is a potential location.

1) Background info: Source

"A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the Amos 17 communications satellite. Built by Boeing and owned by Spacecom Ltd. of Israel, Amos 17 will provide high-throughput broadband connectivity and other communications services over Africa, the Middle East and Europe."

This will be the 10th SpaceX launch this year.

2) Launch window: 6:53 - 821 PM EDT (25 July 2019)

3) Launch Site: SLC-40, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida

4) Webcast viewing options:

a. SpaceX webcast (Starts about 20 minutes before liftoff)
b. YouTube TBS if found
c. Spaceflight Now coverage with launch video

5) Launch preparations:

a. Sans grid fins or landing legs, Falcon 9 B1047.2 and a fresh upper stage arrived at SpaceX’s LC-40 pad around July 28th. (Spacecom/SpaceX)

b. Payload encapsulation video

c. Static fire....First on 31 July 2019. A suspect valve will be replaced and another static fire conducted. Second static fire on 3 August 2019.
