osprey hit the nail on the head, its a shrike.
i would just about give my left nut for that thing.

sofa_king, if you know someone who can make something like that lemme know, dont know how ill pay for it but i really want one.

think about it with this thing, the hicap ban is a mute point.........

i only wish i had one of these.

so let's see- a kidney is getting about $5000 these days, i have two, got $1000 in the checking account.... geez almost there, now bob owes me $200, and i can always squeeze my visa card....

the pathetic thing here is i would have to get a 2" flash hider welded on to make it legal for me to own, that would be a crime.

steve
ps - did anyone see that 7" fal - holy shnikies!

So.... would it be legal in CA?

It has a pistol grip...

But no detachable magazine. :)
Link Posted: 5/13/2001 11:26:56 AM EDT
[#14]
i would not be legal in calif. because it can accept the detachable mags, unless you welded a block into the recever.

anyone notice that the top pic shows a bushmaster recever?

[#15]
Really?!?!? You don't need it anyways so what the hell!!

Hell... get one of those single shot Armalites lowers and slap a belt fed upper on top.

Is it legal?!?! Could I actually have 1 more AR in CA?!?!?!?

well 6 grand.... ouch...

maybe there is just some cheap belt fed upper that's not a copy of anything..

Those who know best in Kali have decided that belt-fed = high capacity ammunition feeding device.

The bugs aren't totally worked out on it yet. The USMC is looking at it hard.

If you read the hi-cap mag ban bullshit you will see that anything over a 10 round linked belt is illegal.

The 94 Crime Bill defines a large capacity ammunition feeding device as a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device manufactured after
the Act of 1994 that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

my friend has made two of those, test fired, sold. He's got the plans and everything,if you are SERIOUS,I could talk to him about it.
He's a very qualified army gunsmith, especially with ARs

To legally link more then 10 rounds together you need to use preban links.

I'm pretty sure that this is the sporter version.....

AND WHAT A SPORT IT IS!!!!!

Am I the only one on this board that is getting really tired of my government telling me what is good for me and what is not?

Protecting my life, my family, and my country is NOT A SPORT it is A BUSINESS I TAKE SERIOUSLY!

For the last 3 years they have been saying it should be out in the next 6-8 months and from the latest price ($6,500) it appears the price increases with each phone call.

Think of it, when something is in development for 3 years, the item/image tends to changes, but this has been in design/development for 3 years and has not made any progress or any changes to the system.

Hmmm, we have a better chance of seeing big foot or the Lochness monster than we do of seeing this thing actually go into production. [:(!]

Beagles 747,  attention to detail will show that while the markings on the weapon state that it was a originally marked as only "safe" and "semi" , the pin located above the selector and the visible tab of the auto sear tells one a different story. Agree?

I personally wouldnt want to carry that pig anywhere unless it was on a M16 lower.

Am I the only one that noticed it has a flip up rear sight and no front sight?

to all my fellow suffering californication neighbours - looking at the site i was under the impression that it was an upper only.  so if i ever did win the lotto - i could slap that sucker on one of my existing lowers.

steve
ps i agree it would be a waste on anything less than a full auto lower, but then again a good friend of mine is a class 3 and local.......

i belive the weapons system will be available as an upper only and will work on any ar15/m16 lower.

Sofa_King
i am seriouse that i really want one, but the question of how to pay for it comes to mind. if he is willing to work out a deal of some sort get in tuch with me.

when i get a militia cell going in this area i may be able to work something better out with my buds... we have agreed to all pitch in and get supplies as a collective, i may convince them that this is a good investment. but i couldn't sell em on a 6000 dollar price.

So this kick @ss gun runs about $6500 today.  Lets pretend that we don't have all of the b.s. gun laws that we have today.  How much does this gun REALLY cost?  How much are the parts?

I bet you could build one of those in a belt fed, full auto configuration for under $1200.  What do you think?  Instead, due to supply, demand, and being reamed in the ass by the government the thing costs $6,500.

Or maybe it actually costs 6500 to make....but I doubt it...
