Wow, we made it all the way to page 3 before Dagger randomly brought up the Cowboys and someone took the time to click on an NFL thread just to let us know they don't like the NFL.

Good for Earl. He wanted 14 mil a year, that is just shy of that but has really good guarantees and a lot of money up front. Basically looks like a 2 year guaranteed deal, 3rd year being most likely with the Ravens being safe to get rid of him in year 4 if his age / injuries have caught up to him. Don't the Pats do this every year? Trading/waving goodbye to big money players for a little bit of draft capital and then signing value FAs seems like the Belichick way. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

And they also gain compensatory picks by doing so. They gained 4x picks for this years draft including 2x 3rd round picks (the highest you can get) by letting Solder (3rd), Butler (3rd), Amendola (4th) and Fleming (4th) go last year. IF it works. We'll see if the Jets get their money's worth over the next 2-3 years. I'm not saying it won't happen, but I'll be surprised if they do. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Looks like a little bit less than if he had signed with the Steelers. We'll see if the Jets get their money's worth over the next 2-3 years. I'm not saying it won't happen, but I'll be surprised if they do. Teams pay players who never meet expectations all the time, literally every deal is a roll of the dice for them. Bell (and Brown) leveraged himself to get what he wanted, despite the opinions of the naysayers. "It's not stupid if it works." |

Go Rams!
It'll be interesting to see how the team holds up after loading up on talent last year. Gurley's knee problems are not encouraging, especially after his disappearing act in the playoffs and super bowl this year. |

AP back with the skins, hopefully Guice will be healthy and it's a nice one two punch.

AFC North odds to win conference: Browns 10/1 Ravens 12/1 Steelers 12/1 Bengals 60/1 Eagles 8/1 Cowboys 11/1 Giants 50/1 Redskins 50/1 Also I don't think the dramatic change was solely due to losing Beckham, but also the Giants signalling that they currently have no intention of making an honest attempt at contending in 2019. They might end up selling off even more players. |

I look at some of these guys asking what I would do if I had to do the decision making from the franchise perspective. Dispatching a convoy of Brinks trucks for a diva WR over the age of 30 or a single RB is insane to me. I'm not sure I'd trust these two for fantasy football this year, and these franchises are making major commitments in real world cap space for them. That's nutty. |

2018 ranks: 31st in total defense 27th against the run 31st against the pass The problem with cutting Berry is that he still intends to play football in 2019, and the Chiefs still owe him something like $16M. They’re going to be paying him that money to play for someone else over the next 2-3 years. The silver lining, if there is one, is that this is the last of John Dorsey’s albatross contracts to go. I hope you Browns fans are watching. Dorsey can build a football team, but the guy got fired for a reason. |

And I'm sure they aren't done. It literally couldn't get any worse than last year on defense, as you pointed out. If they can get the defense to middle of the road, the team will be incredible. |
