I plan to pack up my Elk hunting stuff and get to bed early. I always thought New Year's Eve was a silly holiday. The best one was the Y2K one, now there was anticipation.

Gonna hunker in the bunker and stay off the streets. I don't like being out on Amateur Night.

I haven't done anything on New Year's in 15 years. I just don't get excited about it anymore.

As a musician, it's one of the busiest nights of the year. One of the bands I play in will be travelling down to Laguna Beach, CA from the SF Bay Area. We've been hired to play at the Montage Resort and Spa. (www.montagelagunabeach.com) Does anybody have info on Montage? I've never been there. I hope it's fun. (They're paying for our airfare and putting us in their hotel rooms)

Well, last month I had a new 8x10 Hottub installed for my back. So now my son wants to have a N.Y. eve party with all his teenaged friends over in the hottub. Hmmmmmm When do you want to come over Wave? I got plenty of food and you can sleep on the couch. SGtar15

This is going to sound SOOOOOO lame & boring to at least 99% of you (and that's okay...), but our family goes to church every New Year's Eve - we have supper, church services, dessert/snacks, then an "all-night singing" - we sing until past midnight & "ring in the New Year" worshipping God and enjoying the fellowship of family & friends. It means a lot to me each year - this year will be extra special now that we have "Junior"...

I thought I'd have a few people over, drink a whole lot, and honk in the toilet about 2 or so.

I'll be in Memphis for the Liberty bowl. Go Southern Miss. Yea baby then head over to Beale street to watch the drunks act like fools, hey maybe I could roll a few to pay for my trip to Memphis, just a thought. Always remember a fool and his money...

That doesn't sound lame or boring to me, HardShell. I can remember when i was a kid and went to church with my mother on NY eve and did the same exact thing. But as I got older, I done the party thing. Now I'm even older and my mother has passed on and I just stay home and like I said before, don't even stay up for the new year. However, my daughter spends NY eve at church where she is very active and I'm very proud of her.
