For pre-press? Convert it into PDF :-)

That's it? I'm trying to get a book printed for a friend. All the copy has been done in publisher. Last I heard most printers didn't support that program. I've been out of comercial printing for a few years and was in sales then, so my knowledge is dated and limited in that area.

To the best of my knowledge, yes. That's how proof-copies are send around these days and that's what's going to be fed into the printing machines.

Most printers will require that you send them
the file in either Quark, PageMaker or Frame Maker.

Kinko's may be able to take that file.

If it is just text, a pdf file will work with them.

Call the printer you will use and they can direct you
to someone else for you if they can't do it.
