Censorship on FA.com !?!?!? [:O]
Never thought I'd see the day, especially regarding a published news article.

Listen guys.  He has some legal issues that are serious.  The said article that I deleted is not true.  There are legal actions being taken that I can't discuss.  He is going through some tough times and doesn't need to worry about his personal info being posted on the net.

When it is all said and done, I am sure he will explain.  As his friend in real life, I am asking you guys let it go until all the legal matters are sorted out.  I will not discuss any of the facts relating to the case (I don't know all of them anyway).

So, lets be respectable and let this die for now.

I wasn't really interested in the whole story untill the article was deleted. Kinda like when your parents hide the Christmas presents in the closet and tell you to stay out of it, yea right...lol !!
I just found it curious that a published article, true or not, is not allowed to be posted when it's already been printed !!
The whole thing sounds shitty, I hope everything works out for him.

It includes his personal info, such as name and address. Posting personal info without consent is not allowed. Linking to the article containing the info is no different than posting the info.

We are not treating Kilgore different than any other member. We delete personal info and hints to personal info on a regular basis. Some people (such as myself) like to keep a certain degree of anonymity, and the Full-Auto.com rules respect that.

Understood and I agree, but the rebellious side of me says that the article has been published in a public newspaper and posting a link to a public article should not be censored.
I can understand the whole linking the anonymous screen name with an actual person thing though when that person would prefer that  info not be known.
But I also recall people posting AROCK's info and nothing was done, correct ??

OK folks No need to publish anything here, Its pretty easy to find out what sort of major things could be going on.  We know a town name, search the newspapers for that town, look at the articles that come up,

I edited at least one post with Arock's info. We may have missed some stuff.

Generally, if a person posts their own info, we stop censoring other people; and if a person responds to a post with their personal info without complaining before we see/edit it, we let it go. Edited to add: at least that's how I handle those situations.

They honor member's privacy and right to 'anonyminity', but when one of them goes against them, they are looking for all they can find on the user (chevykitten)....

Public anonymity and us knowing who people are in reality are two completely different things. I know the names of half the people in this thread, but I don't go around posting them.

As far as chevykitten's personal info goes, he/she came to Full-auto solely to attack a regular member. Protecting real members is completely different than protecting or not-protecting trolls.

If you have any more questions or comments about moderation on Full-auto, PM one of the mods instead of hiding over here and childishly gossiping about us.

I think Kilgore will have fun defending himself as a law abiding citizen.  When you live and work in Northwest Indiana (NWI) you have have the connections or they will just RR ya.

I was involved in something 20 years ago and it was a civil matter but I ended up having to go outside the town and county level and got the Federal Judge and US Marshals involved to get justice.  Lets just say it wasn't pretty.

For those of you who think the comment I made about contacting us on Full-auto is funny, most of the gossip about arfcom on Full-auto is people who have been banned or are tired of being deleted. What's your excuse for not posting there?

Speaking of people who bitch about arfcom on full-auto, who wants to guess who Joboo is?

(Edited because it's really none of your business why I don't post here regularly.)

University of IL Addy in reverse. (forward is not valid).

Bascially, whoever it was had either:
A) Public terminal on campus (easy)
B) Compromised server on campus (still easy)

I have never figured out what the big deal is with hiding who you really are. I think that if one is expounding(ranting) about his/her so-called deepest held beliefs and is, at the same time, unwilling to say who they are then I can only accept what they say with a big grain of salt.
Of course, I realize that everyone can do as he pleases but I really am Bill Tidler Jr. and I do live in Tipton IN. If anyone on ARFCOM gets close, I'm in the book! [:D]

I could understand famous people say for instance if Mel Gibson wanted to participate on this forum might need a false identity.

With this type of exception I also do not understand whey they feel they need to hide on the web.

I think Kilgore would be better off to let the news flow and face it directly instead of getting his buddies to remove/edit/destroy all evidence which evidently is already in the public forums of the press.

I guess some of you find humor in other peoples', GOOD PEOPLE, suffering.

Some of you guys are sick.

For those of you know KNOW Kilgore (like I do), you know he's a extremely decent person and is a victim of character assassination by his ex-fiancé for no other reason than she was told the wedding was off.

That's all you need to know.  If you find humor in a law abiding citizen having their Constitutional rights stripped from them based upon a false acquisition, then like I said, you're freaking sick and a pathetic excuse for a gun owner.  I can only wish the same shit that's befell my friend Kilgore falls on your lap one day.  Then perhaps you will realize first hand the seriousness of the situation.

This isn't some cute little board flame war where someone is photoshopping another persons publicly posted image, or a dispute over who said what at the BRC.  This is a mans LIFE and FREEDOM hanging in the balance because a former loved one decided to 'keep the ring' and 'get even'.

ChevyKitten, as it turns out, knows his ex and has a personal reason for wanting to hurt Kilgore.  We learned this through tracing his IP back to his house.  He started it, I we finished it.  If you don't like it, I don't give a !@#$.  Whine to someone who cares.

I'm not posting his name, address or phone number and Kilgore was requesting information - with good reason.  Now the lawyers will take care of the rest.

As for posting personal info, we NEVER allow that on Full-Auto.com.  To say otherwise is a lie, period.

I've deleted more than one thread and/or picture during the little Arock tirade.  Some of you guys are assholes for no other reason than you find humor in it.

Grow up.

I'll tell you why davey, it's because of people who have no regard for your privacy and who may want to fuck you over.
If I didn't have a strong sense of moral conviction (instilled by my Dad) I could have made your life miserable.
People can do very bad things when they have your real life info and none of it is traceable back to them.
They can sign you up for gay porn, they can order dildos to your house , they can send perfumed love letters to you and make it look like you are having an affair, there are a 1000 more things they can do to you with out ever knowing who they were.
In your case the way you treat people and the numerous people who just plain hate your guts you must either not care who does what or have that mentality that says , "they wouldn't dare fuck with me"

Me personally after reading "1001 dirty tricks and revenge" I would not want my info on the net.

I also wouldn't waste my time getting that kind of payback.
