Without giving away anything crucial for those who haven't read the book, what's the story with the incident in the double wide trailer at the end? Who was that woman? IM or email if you think it's a spoiler.

I don't think we're supposed to know. You didn't miss a thing, her name wasn't in the book.

She always made a big deal about her supposed backwoods cracker origins. She campaigned for governor driving a red pickup truck. Like most psychotic stalinist liberals, she really wants nothing more than to fish, gig frogs, and bowhunt gators in the Everglades.

The note is the hint. Who said "I take full responsibility" after a certain event that caused /other/ certain explosive events?

Another clue is the fact that they didn't feed her to the hogs. Hogs would never eat someone that ugly.

I know a lot people feel the same way. I couldn't realy get into it. I tried many different times to read this book. I met the Author at Knob Creek last April and he signed my book. Maybe my brain now only grabs technical drab stuff instead of this storyline. Maybe I could follow it better in a movie.

I believe it was Reno also. I emailed this thread to John Ross, he is a member here.

I thought it was Reno, but I had to come here and ask, just to be sure. I thought it was a great book...
