Riots in Detroit(HOCKEY TOWN) would be my first guess. They had some dandies in '68, of course I was just 7 yrs. old and we lived the the 'burbs(Taylor) so I don't really remember them all that well.

I think "Dog Eat Dog" was about people whose rubber bands get stretched too tight under today's pressures. However, if you go back to Stormtroopin' on his 1975 album...

My wife's uncle was a fireman in Detroit. He told me about taking bullets through the windshield of the firetruck while responding to calls.

Not sure, . . . . anyone know what "Wang Dang sweet Poontang" is about? WANG DANG SWEET POONTANG That Nadine, what a teenage queen. She lookin' so clean, especi'lly down in between; what I like. She come to town; she be foolin' around, a puttin' me down as a rock-and-roll clown. It's all right. Wang Dang Sweet Poontang Wang dang, what a sweet poontang, a shakin' my thang as a rang-a-dang-dang in the bell. She's so sweet when she yanks on my meat. Down on the street you know she can't be beat. What the hell. Wang Dang Sweet Poontang

I think "Cat Scratch fever" is a SHTF song too.
