Discovery Hearkens To Finding Of Body In Robert Durst Case.
HOUSTON -- A Texas fisherman on Sunday found a torso inside a suitcase floating in the water -- shortly before he spotted a plastic bag that contained a head in Galveston Bay.
Texas officials are questioning three people in connection with the grisly discovery, but none of them has been charged.
Officials identified the remains as belonging to a 30-year-old Houston man. The man had been reported missing a few days earlier, but police don't have further details.
The body parts were discovered about a mile from where another headless torso was found two years ago in a widely publicized case. New York real estate heir Robert Durst was tried for murder in that case and acquitted last month.
A Galveston County commissioner said it was dejá vu as he watched police retrieve the latest body. He also witnessed officials remove the body of 71-year-old Morris Black, the victim in the Durst case.
