...with Red Ryders to fight back against empty pop-cans.

Reports have it that it is ok to fire an airgun to defend ones property against evil pop-cans within town limits.

Good to see he's following proper trigger and muzzle discipline! [;)]

Good-lookin' kid. May God bless him!

back in the day me and dad use to sit in the back yard plinking with the air guns. That was so fun.

Now we do the same except we are in the desert with 7.62x39's and .45's

Never bought the kids BB guns. However my 10-year old has his 22 Crickett and a Romanian M-69 Training Rifle.  Working on his revolver shooting skills now, too.

  Guess you gotta' start somewhere.

That's a great pic and it warms my heart.  He has an expression of pure joy.  Bet he'll look back on that photo one day with much pride and affection.

BTW, has he bookmarked the JPFO website yet?

I purchased another Yugo sks for me, and two red ryders today.  Figure the kids need something to shoot in the back yard and well, the Yugo just sort of followed me home.

Careful T_J, arming children in Kalifornia may result in a felony charge.  [:\]

Well, [b]that[/b] was smart! Now what are you going to get him for Christm. . . . Oh, nevermind. [edited to add] Seriously, there's nothing better than a spring-powered bb gun to get 'em started. Popping a can 15' away translates into some pretty good shooting with a firearm. Plus, as a dad, I can tell you that any time you add to the number of really cool things you can place off-limits for disciplinary reasons, you come out ahead. [;)]

You should be ashamed of yourself!! [spank] You may have just kept him from becoming a typical gun-hating Kalliberal.....

Now what kind of life can the poor young man expect? All he can do is hunt, fish, target shoot, become a useful citizen.....

Keep up the good work!!  [beer]

He might shoot his eye out, but will probably never have to worry about sticking his tongue to a flagpole.

You're even in CA!!!  Good for you!!  I remember when my dad got me a BB/Pellet rifle for my 10th birthday.  Learned the fundamentals there.  We need more youth out there that appreciate shooting and gun SAFETY, otherwise we will end up with tards that thrive for gun CONTROL.
