I have not heard some of this stuff since the late 90s when a few of my friends were goth/industrial DJs in clubs.
Good stuff! |

View Quote There are so many bands out there it's impossible to know them all. This genre is huge in size. That's one of the reasons I started this thread to expand my collection. I like listening to Pandora and just letting it roll. Dangerous to my bank account though. The down side to Pandora is you don't get a many of the obscure bands. |

FUCK YES THIS THREAD!
This is my shit. Fucking love the "Dark Scene". A term I have heard used to cover Goth, Industrial, EBM, Dark rock etc. |

Not even. Marilyn Manson followed groups from the 80's like Ministry, Skinny Puppy and Gary Newman. Additionally he is industrial rock. Different genre in the same industrial family. I like him but he doesn't fit EBM. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

This whole album is solid. I can't pick just one. It's so rare to like an entire album with no throw away tracks. This is a unicorn.

I think there was one. Two user were talking about probably seeing each other at the club in orlando and or tampa. I chimed in that one of them probably saw me too if they had been recently. I think it was @burnprocess who I'm pretty sure got his name after the Tactical Sekt album. I was also mentioning how the whole scene today is pretty much unified and that everyone dances to everything from sisters of mercy, covenant, Suicide commando, and skinny puppy, front 242 etc and goes to all of the shows. Instead of forsaking the new or old or this genre or that. View Quote Presently, I'm into the industrial dance sound like Noisuf-x. So if it seems I'm overloading that style that's why. |

Industrial sounds like it hasn’t changed much in 25 years.
Any of that new stuff wouldn’t have sounded out of place in a lot of places I hung out in back in the early 90s. |

View Quote The cool thing about this genre is even old stuff sounds new. It doesn't date. I'm listening to early 2000 stuff that sounds like it just came out. Unless technology changes industrial won't. I still jam to Headhunter. I must have six different mixes of it. What's funny and sad is I'll run across a band that is killer just find out they broke up 8 years ago. I'm also glad the younger generations picked it up so us older guys still have something new to listen too. |

Helltrash was a great band from the ATL area, but seemed to have self destructed.. too bad really. View Quote Absolutely. I saw Front 242, Lords of Acid (wildest show ever!), VAST, etc........................... I also saw Ministry, Front 242, Project Pitchfork and Sisters of Mercy at the Tabernacle. Ministry again at the International Ball Room. I saw Stabbing Westward (Best show ever!), Orgy, and couple others at the Roxy. That's just off the top. Edit: I got a question for you. I noticed your sig line That your a Rivethead that has guns. Why is that strange? I do too. Is there a back story? |
