This topic has been done a billion times, but let me get cracking.

We all know the DAEWOO DR200 is a good weapon system. Its rarity is also a good thing about it if your a collector...

Anyone here knowledgable about firearm value over the long term? Will the DAEWOOs value rise due to its rarity? Or will it maintain a steady $700-800 value throughout the years? If its not going to go up much in value, I might as well trade it to get $500 dollars off a preban AR15. I have faith that the ban will sunset, and I do write my representatives. Nevertheless I would like to be prepared incase the worst happens.

Thoughts?
Thanks!

Good question. I don't think it will go up though, because of a lack of replacement parts and accessories. If US companies started making stuff for it, though, then that would be a different story.

God I hate that gun. I think that of the 100 we sold, we took 60 back for problems with it. IF yours works, then keep it, its rarer than you think!

???

My K1A1 is fine. This is the first I've ever heard of Daewoos having problems. Which model suffered?

these are in the same issue as the origional Armalite Ar-180s, with spare parts hard to find, the prices remain a little stagnant. However over a 5 year period I think the value will increase some. As of yet the import ban of 89 is not going away, if it did, then the value would drop. I say hang on to it.
