paintwerx I am personally torn between some, but the Milwaukee is my favorite. (followed by grassland followed by choco-chip..) I do single colors, too (OD, Tan, Pink, even black)  |

I have a couple of my ARs in Armalite green.
I also have a bunch of FALs and I was getting tired of all of them having black furniture. I got OD from PENGUIN earlier in the year and I loved the new fresh look. I got their new Coyote Brown and Desert Tan colors and I really like the Coyote Brown on the rifle.  The Desert Tan looks nice also, a little light for my taste. But it should make an excellant base color for camoflaging.  I got the stocks directly from Gerald @ www.penguinsaw.com |

Black is the std, but I also have a Rem 870 Police with light gray parkerizing and wood stocks that I thinks looks cool. |

I have a real thing for OD guns & gear. I can barely resist buying something if it's OD. I don't know why. I even plan to have my next vehicle be OD. I bought an SKS that is OD/parkerized, when I never wanted an SKS. I did a post a while back on OD weapons, just to drool over others, & get an idea of what I should buy in the future. I like the desert tan stuff, but not as much.

I like the DSA paint jobs on their FALs. Currently I am boring as hell and all my guns are black, except for the stainless ones. If I was going to change anything up, I would go for OD. I think it is the way to go for solid colors besides black.

I like my guns "PARKERIZED" a dark grey or grey/black color. I also like dull blue as used on old Mausers & M44's.

K-Sports SKS? www.simonov.net/custompro.htm OD green/gray parkerized is good, the two-tone OD/blued 1911A1 that somebody posted a pic of a while back was *very* nice! Generally I like dark gray rather than black as far as the metal goes, & black or olive for furniture, if plastic. Coyote Brown is starting to grow on me though. Tan is too close to 'blonde' hardwood, though a darker red/brown is ok, like Armalite offers. |
