Is it legal to sell and ship a pre-ban AR-15 to someone in California or do their new laws prevent this?

It may technicaly be illegal to ship one TO California, but as a resident of another state who is not IN California, I question how the law could affect you, unless they tried you in absentia and you were later dumb enough to get yourself a warrant check while you are here.

Funny thing about state law, you have to be IN that state to be subject to it.

Now, the poor bastard you convinced to pay you money for that rifle, well,he's screwed.

It would be illegal for both the buyer and seller unless one was a governmental agency in which case I would only sell with official letterhead and a purchase order.

It is illegal to sell or ship an AR to Kali. But Kali doesn't have a legal jurisdiction to charge you (in NC).

Its also illegal to sell, give, inherit or transfer a legally registered AR thats already in Kali!!

I believe it would be legal to ship it to an ffl in CA who is licensed as a dealer in assault weapons with CalDOJ. The FFL would have very few options as to who he could sell/transfer it to though. LEO, armed forces (ask Paul about this) or someone who gets permission which is not given.
