Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Are all RPK's 5.45?

So I was cruising around on an AK parts supplier's site and found RPK 75 rd drum mags.  Don't remember which site but I'm pretty sure it was one listed here.  Any chance these are 5.45 drums?

I highly doubt it.  While there are RPK's in 5.45x39mm, I don't think many if any of the drums made their way into the USA.  I'm no expert, so you might want to post this question in the AK forum where all the Kalashnikov experts dwell.

Nope.  There are 7.62 rpk's too. www.k-var.com has 7.62 kits.

As far as anyone knows, there are no 5.45 drums.  At least none available in the U.S.
