Thank you.

As much of a monstrosity as it was, it was surprisingly manageable. And it really was delicious.

It actually held up well.

We used brioche because it is more elastic and sponge like. It holds the weight of the burger and also absorbed the sauce and juice nicely.

I can't read chicken scratch!

Burger was good. Didn't plan on getting one but had one. I ate it without the egg because it would have been messy as hell. Also put a cut up onion ring... on the last half...

Potato pancake, corned beef, Swiss cheese, burger, kraut slaw, and a stoneground mustard/horseradish sauce.

finally had time to go through the whole thread, dupe, thanks for all the posts!! I had a go at smashed burgers a couple nights ago, and the wife says that is how we do burgers for now on. I thought I was going to break my spatula. So, how is that Burger Iron holding up? The reviews on it weren't the greatest. Seems the handle isn't very durable. And, no way I'm buying a $236 spatula. Hopefully I am in Seattle some day and can swing by.

No problem. It’s all about spreading some burger love!

The burger iron is great, it smashes a couple hundred or more patties a day every day. It came with 1 inch screws that striped out within a week. I pulled the screws out of the Handel and drilled deeper into the Handel and replaced them with longer screws and I haven’t had any trouble since.

I wouldn’t buy a smashula for personal use, and I only use it when I’m doing a catering event. It’s more for show and I also wanted to support George on his endeavors.

Thanks, ordered one.

We have 80ish pounds of ground beef in the freezer which will need smashed over the next year or so.

Modern problems require modern solutions.  The place next door is friendly with their covered patio, as long as one drinks their beer
