Good, I am so pissed with ,gov lately and these recent shootings. Amazing how fast everything is scrubbed and a complete narrative about the situation the next day. We are getting lied to.

Nolo, If you could just for my personal sanity preparing for Thanksgiving seeing some liberal family members -ugh-, could you give me a very sharp one liner about this so I can piss them off and walk off? Thanks

I would seriously ask what would be the reason of the fbi to not let the atf inspect the weapons until 6 months after?

Not likely, it's going to stay around longer than that for touch DNA.

Not being willing to play nice with another agency, now that doesn't require any special circumstances at all...lol

DNA needs to be collected within 48 hours unless you are going to preserve the item for further examination. If I take a gun and put it in a plastic bag in a non climate controlled storage area that DNA is probably worthless 6 months later due to mold and bacteria contamination. That is why evidence bags and boxes for firearms are usually cardboard or paper. In addition to that you need to make sure any DNA is collected before any other testing is done and that the investigator changes gloves before and after handling other evidence to prevent cross contamination. That being said once you get cells a PCR test from a crime lab can then isolate the DNA and that is basically never going away.

It is my belief that Paddock was some kinda govt spook.  If you look at his work career he worked at a couple federal gov jobs until he suddenly goes dark.  They never really explain how he got the money to start investing in real estate.

He went rogue or the shooting was a sting operation that went bad....

I still firmly believe he was laundering money for someone. No one "wins" the kind of money they said he did. If it were possible those games wouldn't exist on the casino floor. They've been running casino's for long enough that they know exactly how much they'll win over the long run based on the odds of the game and the payouts.
Think I heard he "won" $5 million the year before? Send the spook to Vegas with $6 million in smaller increments and at the end of the year you have $5 million of clean cash with a clean paper trail. Someone somewhere knows where that money came from, we just aren't privy to it.

The whole thing is all kinds of messed up.

His lifestyle and means of support is one part. But also, the motive, the nature of the attack, the release of info by authorities, etc.

Not to crumple up your tin foil hat but

Im pretty sure casinos keep track of how much you start and end with. You have to buy the chips when you arrive, then cash back out.  That’s how they know what amount to put on the W-2G.  If you show up with $6M, then leave with $5M, the collection of records will show a net loss, not a $5M winning streak.

You're assuming he showed up with $6 million dollars. He cashed in smaller amounts all over town over the course of a year.
This guy laundered over $18 million at one casino before he was caught and embezzled over $65 million

Just found out about Swift Links on the interwebs today. All google searches point back here. I know a guy that worked the 10/1 shooting case in a small capacity.

He said the reason the ATF didn't inspect the weapons is because they were all sent back to FBI/Quantico for testing. He seemed to know what the Swift Links are. He wouldn't confirm or deny if they were used since he didn't inspect the guns.

Anyway, so FBI is who would have inspected the guns and test fired them for full-auto, not ATF or LVMPD. Did FBI ever release any reports? Is any mention of weapons testing in the FOIA dumps from FBI so far?

I don't feel like it is conflicting for the police to believe there are multiple shooters when they're getting multiple active shooter calls from scared civilians all over the strip.  We NOW know there weren't shooters at other venues so we know most of those calls were incorrect (whether intentional or accidental), but at the time nobody knew that.

The part about him killing himself before they entered the room versus them witnessing it can come down to bad wording in a talking conversation, in which the spokesperson is relaying their understanding of what another officer said he saw.  "I saw him dead from a suicide headshot" turns in to "the officer saw it happen" in just one misunderstood retelling.

The women registered to the room being covered up are probably local call girls they try not to draw attention to.  But that's speculation.

Not that I seriously believe that someone is hiding DNA here, but wouldn't wet DNA be what you are looking for typically on a firearm?

If they have 90 days (or whatever the number is) to get you what you request, with the government shut down, does the clock keep ticking? I'm going to guess no.

Nolo -

Thank you very much for doing this.  I am a survivor of that night, and have worked with a close knit team to try to uncover various information about that night.  We were denied a specific request made to the FAA regarding flight radar information from that night, and they cite "ongoing FBI investigation" in their denial.  Please, if you see this, send me a PM - I'd like to get you any information we can that can help your cause.

Well, its not like the firearms were being analyzed anyhow. Just like all the bullets/fragments pulled from the victims were trashcanned by the doctors per instructions from the FBI. The FBI needs to drop its third initial and replace it with a C for conspirators.
