Generally I can't stand to be around bible thumpers.
But I always enjoyed listening to him. Vaya con dios padre |

My father turned his life around and asked Jesus to save him in 1975 while sitting alone in his apartment and flipping on the TV to see a Billy Graham Crusade. He decided to call and speak to someone....his life was in shambles. Mom had just left him that evening with my sister.
Changed his life, got my mom back after his character change, drinking stopped, and became a real husband. They only had my sister at that point but I came later because they mended their relationship based specifically off that night. I owe my actual existence to God, but I’m here because of Billy Graham. |

Isn't he one of the few that consciously did not get rich from his evangelizing? Gotta respect that.

My grandfather and grandmother (who aren't with us anymore) used to volunteer at his revivals. I'm not that religious but we'll miss him.

The world was a better place with Billy Graham in it
and is diminished by his loss. May God watch over the rest of the world with Billy by his side.......... |

In man's calculations we start counting a persons days from birth till death... Billy was 99 yrs old.
But from God's perspective there is a count down he has already numbered our days so for God our earthly lives are on a timer counting down. Bell goes off ...ding....and we're done so to speak. Onto the judgement and eternity for better or worse. |

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
Happy Promotion day, Billy. |

I became a Christian in 1981 when Billy was in San Jose, CA.
Enjoy your rest Billy, you've earned it. |

RIP Billy Graham. He seemed like one of the rare decent guys not in preaching for money like Creflo Dollar and Swaggart and many many others.

He was a great man and will be sorely missed. He is in a much better place now.
RIP |

Was a hero that stood for what he said. Never wavered, will be missed.

He is now enjoying Life evermore.
God help all of us who are still here. |

It's a good day for Heaven, and a good day for Billy Graham. He will be sorely missed.

Like most professing Christians that die you can't really be sad about it considering he got the one thing he wanted most in his life.

I remember listing to his crusades in my younger years.
I’ll add that the Billy Graham resource trailer remained in White Sulphur Springs area long after the others had left after the 2016 flood. RIP. |

I guess I will go against the tide here.
Mr. Graham seems like a fine man. My parents went to his early Crusades in Southern Cal. BG, however, offered an ecumenical, watered down version of the "Gospel". Glenn Beck this morning related a personal story of a meeting he had with BG in which BG called Beck a "Christian". Now I have no interest in getting into a Mormon bashing thread, This thread is to honor a good man. BUT, in terms of a sound, Trinity driven Gospel message, it is simply wrong for BG to recognize Beck as a "Christian". BG's message for decades has been a mushy "can't we all just get along" form of ecumenicalism that runs rampant in so many churches today. RIP Mr Graham. You seemed like a fine man. And nope, I'm not even going to respond to the haters that will bash me. This is an RIP thread. Please keep it that way. |

I'm sure that Mr. Graham will have a tremendous reward in heaven. He finished his race very well indeed.
