Yeah, yeah. I know there's a Netflix thread.

These movies are good enough to get their own notice.

If you haven't seen them and you like intellectual thrillers with a sadistic twist, they are must see movies.

Cube

Cube 2

Cube zero (the prequel)

I didn't realize there was more than 1. Watched the first one last night, meh. Could not get to excited about it.

Meh. If we all liked the same stuff, it'd be a boring place.

But, you're the first person I've heard who didn't like it.

You probably wouldn't like the other two either then.

Not exactly.

Hard to explain without giving fun stuff away.

I caught the first one years ago on some movie channel, loved it.

Thanks OP!

"Wait...Gleaming The Cube, Ice Cube...what's the 3rd cube?"

I think I've seen part of one of them. May sit down and watch the first to refresh the 'ol memory some day...

It's been a while.

IIRC Cube 2 was ok but not as good as the first.

The prequel, I remember being actually better than the original but couldn't swear to it.

I liked #1 the best.

I've seen the first two, didn't know there was a third, think I'll have too watch it if it's as good as the first one it should be pretty good.

I saw two of them and continued to watch to find out just what the "cube" was and why anyone would expend the $millions of $ to build some such nonsense and for what purpose? None of my questions were answered. I don't even remember which ones I saw because they were so stupid. The last one I saw had one of the trapped people make it out and the camera went to "white out," and failed to show where the person escaped to. Did any of these movies ever explain anything? Or was this just another nonsense series that had proposed an enormously ridiculous scenario with no intention of ever explaining to the audience what was going on?

I’ve never understood the esteem for these in some quarters.  I watched the first, and thought it was awful.  Some of the shittiest acting and writing I’ve ever seen.

But that’s me, and if you like them, I hope you enjoy the netflixing.

I would say go in the order listed. 1, 2, then the prequel.

It's not a true prequel. More of a different perspective, iirc.

Certain group of selected people trapped in a booby trapped, puzzle, prison.

It's one of those movies that is either liked or hated, evidently.

I watched it last night with Crabby, it wasn't bad. It was better than the horrible fucking NCIS shows she puts on for background noise. How the fuck did NCIS survive, our dog knows who did it and what is going to happen after 1 minute of the shit being on. That show eats your brain from the inside and makes voting for Hillary seem like a good idea!
