Quoted: Quoted: It's not too late but it is too early. What if I no longer have a schedule? My great-grandpa would get up every day at about 4:30 AM. When he woke up he filled a coffee cup with whiskey and would drink that every day. That was usually the limit he had for himself. I hate that I never got to meet him, as he was born in the late 1800s, and died in the 80s. |

So he always slept with his face towards the wall, until the food was ready. |

I'm a recovering hater |

I used to do (and teach) that. But I am old, crotchety and have health issues these days. I should showcase some of my 'shops sometime. Although the point of doing it right is no one can tell it was Photoshopped unless it involves the absurd (like many of the examples I have). |

Some of what they say is accurate, but most of it is blowhard nonsense. |

Although the point of doing it right is no one can tell it was Photoshopped unless it involves the absurd (like many of the examples I have). I learned from some old guys that did commercial photo retouching before there was a computer program for that. Done the old fashioned way. Most of the time it involves near-Soviet style removal of individuals from group photos - such as a public figure who got indicted on something. Doing Photoshop "my way" involves converting the image to Lab color and working in the individual channels to make edits. But you can screw up an image in Lab color faster than you can sneeze, too. Dramatically screw up. |
