Fact #1: those asshats and their clones would NEVER vote for him no matter what he does. Just like the Muslims and Arabs still hate Americans despite Obama kissed their asses for 8 years.

Fact #2: Trump has been reaffirm his voter basis by turning the lib's panties upside down using just few tweets. Now they have pissed off a lot people who kinds regret voting for Trump because of the recent DACA deal and the Wall(lack of). Total cost for Trump: Nothing.

He occasionally gets side tracked with stupid shit (talking about that one reporter with her face bleeding or whatever) but I'd say he's on the mark here with publicly calling out the NFL. It's a good political move. By directly calling them out and getting a bunch of players and teams so pissy and emotional that they'll make a spectacle out of kneeling for the national anthem, he pushes moderates towards the right. Centrists are turned off by seeing players kneel during the anthem.
