WTF is wrong w/ postal carriers?

amazingly enough, the trigger survived. the trigger spring has slightest bend that can be tweaked back.
heck the hat took more damage.

Yup. If I were smart, I would have made .005” cuts on the top with the port door fixed on the receiver. The blueprint for the cut wants the port hole to be .620” tall, where the factory hole is .500”.

I mismeasured the cutter when touching off (I was a lathe only guy at the time) and it’s about .0025” too wide on each side, which on that receiver interfered with the port latch too much.

But it’s all Seekins as far as the receivers and rail go.

I reread the op and those rifles are going to be truly unique. I can't wait to see the final product! I'm especially curious about the "special uppers and all sorts of wonderful goodies that have never seen the light of day" part!

Now I have to figure out what to put it in. Obviously, I'll have to build a new rifle for this - at last, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

I'm the opposite. I have more uppers than lowers. In fact, I now have two spare ssa-e's sitting on the shelf. Gotta get some parts kits.

Still puzzling how G managed to fit a whole rifle in a bubble pack mailer. I mean, getting my FFL info isn't that hard, but the packing is a good trick that I could use when shipping out steel.

Phone order and mine arrived today. Like everyone else, full of swag and fortunately my postal carrier is much kinder to my packages than some of yours

Thank you Bill and everyone else at Geissele for doing this. I hope they like their new equipment
