Very slow thread.
Today was my first day as janitor. I love it. I do my thing for four hours and leave, don't have to deal with other employees, customers don't ask me anything (I guess if you're pushing a dust mop you look stupid). Got home and did 3 loads of laundry, moved two computers (long ass story) did some paperwork and some other chores that have been pounding on my shoulder.

Hooked up one of the Christmas presents from FW_wife. An alarm clock.
It also has an FM radio, can play music from USB sticks, charges your phone, has a multicolored night light that can slowly wake you up before your alarm, and projects the time on the ceiling. It's a gadget, and I love it. |

2 days ago my glasses came in so I stopped after work to pick them up.
LensCrafters now had to order me a third set of glasses. Why? It's hard to see in the picture but that swirly looking spot in the middle of both lenses..? It's actually a dimple and scratches in the lens. She said it will make me dizzy/sick if I wear them at night because the light will refract in a bad way. She let me take them home while I wait for the new sat, but they made me a little nauseous so I took them off.

I did NOT get my tour of the Capitol today, albeit I did get a whiff of the complimentary tear gas while I was standing in line. I understand some other folks DID get their tour, and made the point to our "elected" congresscritters that we can visit them in their offices whenever we make up our minds to do so.
