Beer man,
The SUIT from TAPCO is optically good. It's been refinished with some semi-gloss black pain with new stickers so it looks near-new cosmetically. No tritium source and I guess no more battery units available.
The mount is an inch dust cover that has been "somewhat" modified to work on metric rifles. Somewhat, in that with it in place neither of my two FALs would lock shut.
After a few visits to WECSOG and a Dremel, it now works. But it's also been painted and I want it Parkerized to match the receiver, so that's in the works. BTW, you can't use the iron sights with the SUIT mount dust cover installed. Blocks the sightline.
Overall, it's a good piece of original optics that I'd choose again for this rifle over the bolt-down dust cover/scope rails offered by DSA and others.
