Looks like a SCAR 16 and ACR had sex or they just copied the two together.

Is this the gun that the Nazi Islamists of the 4th Reich will be using against us in WW3?

So did they rip of FN this time instead of Colt? Looks pretty clear they ripped off the ACR Gotcha. It's hard to keep track of what HK copies these days, since they haven't developed anything original in rifle development since the G11 prototype that didn't work. |

Well, given current German military spending trends, I'm sure the 3 or 4 platoons of actual infantry the Bundeswehr will have by the time this rifle gets fielded will really enjoy them....

From everything I've read the A5 has addressed most of the platform's quirks. France just bought a giant pile of them, and it sounds like the UK might finally dump that POS SA80 for them as well. |

If there's a semi-auto version we can buy in the future, it will cost at least $4k.

Another overpriced, overweight German copy of a perfectly functional design that they will deign to sell us at a grossly overinflated price after neutering it.

Not to be outdone by FN Herstal, the HK 433 features a stock resembling a much sleeker boot than the traditional UGG boot of the FN offering, the SCAR View Quote What did the author mean by this? |

View Quote I was reading the other day that the German Army was down to 2 Panzer divisions, and a special forces division (60,000 men). That is a far cry from the 12 cold war divisions. |

Who cares. They're never going to sell it to US civilians. I'll be getting a Bren 806 when they're available and I'm sure it'll be way before anyone sees this HK.

- Drop safe according to AC225/D14 with and w/o applied safety. That just guaranteed a French a purchase too....

Where else can assault rifle designers go? There's not much left to innovate when it comes to box fed, semi auto rifles, so about all they can do is improve materials or combine the best features from a range of other weapons into their own. Not making excuses for HK, but there's a good reason for the lack of innovation, and that is it's all been done before and there's nothing left until the next revolutionary leap.

View Quote Sounds like a a pretty damn good reason to just buy or build M4s and use that r&d money for other shit. Call up Colt Canada and get on with the rest of your "armaments procurement" day. |

Small chance this can be changed with Trump in office now. Still, they need to get the appropriate export permits from Germany and those will require some modifications. Best hope is they get that factory in the US tooled up for them. |

So will the barrel trunion melt on this one too?
I kind of like the looks of it but knowing HK if it ever made it to civi sales it would be $3500 and come in grey with a single stack magwell requiring another grand or two in modifications to unfuck it. |
