I have just arrived home from the movie theater after viewing this film. My mind is so fresh full of the video that I must admit that it certainly was not quite what I had expected.
I had expected disappointment, incredible imagery, and a distinct conclusion. Upon finishing the movie I realized that I had only acquired ONE of my three expectations. This was a surprise for me, and I liked it.
There was indeed incredible imagery, some (though not much) use of weapons as seen in the trilogy's predecessors, and what I thought to be a VERY GOOD ending (though somewhat unexpected).
The movie seems to start relatively slow, IMHO, but I really cannot tell you more. If you like the plot of the first two movies, this is a must see. If you're only viewing to see the last one, you may be disappointed. I liked the plot, I liked how it plays into the first two films, and I thought it was done rather well. The new "John" actor was a little difficult to get used to at first, but believable to some extent. The character development could have been a little better, but overall an enjoyable, and entertaining film.
**** out of *****
Telling you more would ruin the film.
I liked seeing the "prototype" robots attacking though!
