I guess a blanket statement like IV drug usage leads to aids would be offensive to some also.  When you have a majority of users of steroids showing at least one of the side effects, and it is well documented, it is not a blanket statement.

Personal recommendations for accelerated weight gain.  (as perscribed for me by a dietician when my own weight dropped to 125# at 5'10")  3 full meals per day.  An additional 3 "snacks" (sandwich, hamburger, a partial meal) 6 cans of Ensure each day.  This will put some serious calories on you.  In order to keep those calories from turning to fat, a heavy exercise regimen is recommended.

Some people are genetically predisposed to not becoming heavily muscled (Ferigno or Schwarzenegger types)  Look at Bruce Lee.  Excellent shape, very strong, but not large.  If you fall into this category, work on definition and not size.  Do not let some one else bad mouth you into thinking that you are in any way inferior due to not being "bulky/muscular".  Some people just don't bulk up.  Getting yourself in shape doesn't mean getting yourself in Lou Ferigno's shape.

Rumor has it Bruce Lee was heavily addicted to drugs AND used steroids.

For a little dude the guy was pretty well muscled. He just never got into the heavy weight training that would bulk him up too much and slow him down.

But that's just rumor [;)]
