As we're all aware of, our beloved Photopoint will charge fees for it's use sometime  this month.

Anyone find a good, free replacement? Post links if you have them.

Unfortunately the best replacement for a
free PHOTOPOINT service is a Paid PHOTOPOINT service, I have used some others (free) with not very good results. Photo point always comes above them all. You may try
http://www.picturetrail.com/, OR WWW.WEBSHOTS.COM, or open 50 yahoo accounts, but you have to jump all kind of hoops to make it work (my experience). All of the above sort of work, your links are active and functional as long as you’re log in to they server, the moment you log off, all links are broken and you get the red 'x'. So I am biting the dust and paying my $19.95, It is a time saving for me, I know how it works, and it works the first time every time...

I paid.  I don't mind paying for a service that I have chosen to use.  Free was better, but compared to the amount of money I spend annually on this hobby, it's nothing.

Look, no more photopoint tag line!

Driftpunch,  I still see the FREE tag line. lol

Another replacement is www.zing.com

One thing I don't like about webshots, is that you can't have many pictures in an album.  Something like 25 or 35 max.

TRY...[red]http://www.honesty.com[/red]

I've only used them once, but had no problems at all. Would recommend for sure...

www.excite.com has a free online photo album. You can have different albums like photopoint, pictures upload the same way, and there's no ad banner at the top of the picture.

WTF is that?

That looks like the new DeWALT electric powered AR. 18 volt?

I'm with Treetop - I use Excite.com

Its a little clumsy, but no worse than photopoint ever since they recently changed their style.

This one sounds promising. Got it off one of the other gun boards (can't recall which one):

Just suck it up and pay for Photopoint.  The account give you 500 MEGS of space - it's definately worth it.  The free internet ride is quickly coming to a halt.

Oh, BTW, once they start charging for the service the little photopoint banner will go away for paying members.

I just started with http://www.fototime.com, and it looks pretty promising. You download their software, make your albums and caption each photo locally, then sync with the web site.  MUCH easier to use than photopoint, and I like the visitor interface better.

And no advertising headers on the photos:
