Anyone got the new album??? How is it?  I like the new single out on the radio.  Saw them at the first Lallapalooza fest and again about a year ago in San Diego.  Very tight live...especialy since they quit the hard drugs[BD]!!

... Pinged for the AFRCOM army critique.

... It usually the other way around. RHCP, Alice in Chains, G&R all went into the crapper when they went clean.

... I don't think Dave Navarro can play clean.

Inferno..I thought Metallica lost it after And Justice for All..[:)]!!
Winston- Yeah I'd have to agree that rock stars just like the STP frontman need those drugs to keep their creativity alive..for the moment anyway.  I was real upset when the lead singer of Alice in Chains was found dead.  They said his place had been rat and roach infested for quite sometime before his death. Imagine going from multi-millions to the slums.
Anyway any of you guys or gals heard the new CD??

I listen to Jane's.  I never liked Porno for Pyros as it was too soft.  I liked the hard edged Jane's sound.  And I would have loved to have seen them in concert.

But after Porno and the recent stuff, I hope it's more like Pigs in Zen, Ain't no Right (great live video), etc.

So, where can I get a free MP3 sample of their new album?

Oh, and the whole band has cleaned up?  Hell,  when I first started listening to them I didn't have any clue what heroin was.  Now I have professional experience and it certainly puts a little different perspective on Coming Down the Mountain....

My favorite lead singer rockstar line came from a Rolling Stone many years ago.

Following is a paraphrase of what I recall of the interviewer and Perry Farell, discussing his new wife and how he misses her while he's touring.

Interviewer:  So what do you do to help out while you're away from her?

Perry:  Oh man.

Interviewer:  Do you ever fly to see her?

Perry:  Huh?

Interviewer:  Yeah, like jet planes....

Perry:  Oh, I thought you were talkin' about guns and masturbation and stuff....

If anyone has the exact text of this part of the interview (or a link) please correct my recollection errors.

EDITED for typos.
