I just bought a Heritage Rough Rider with a 6" barrel and a 22 cal and 22 mag cylinder. It was only $150, NIB. Does anyone have one of these? Are they decent?

The 2002 Gun Tests says, Best Buy, "inexpensive, well built overall, with a ground breaking safety feature." I probably would have spent a little more $$$ and bought a Single Six..but, for $150.00 you can't really go wrong...

i bought mine when they were $119. not a bad pistol. great snake gun to strap on your hip for fishing. and cheap enough if you drop it in the creek, no biggie

The Single Six was more than twice as much as the Rough Rider. I like the two cylinder idea and it seemed cheap (price wise) enough. I guess if it sucks, I can always sell it. Even though, it was only 150 bucks.

Take it shooting, if you like it, it was a good buy, if you dont like it, its only $150, give it to a friend or something, maybe they will like it.

Once in a while the cylinder on mine will bind up a bit. It always comes free with a little effort. I paid $89 for mine 10 years ago, it was the first gun I bought needing a NICS check. I like it because it nevers shoots to the same place twice. That means you have to shoot more often to hit the can. [;)] That makes it more fun than my Ruger MKll Govt. Target Model. That thing is laser-beam accurate. Sometimes it's too easy to hit what you're aiming at. [:D]

Maybe I should have been more clear. I meant to say that you can purchase USED Single Sixes all day long for $200.00. I have several. They are impossible to wear out...

Wait, I thought this was going to be a thread discussing the performance of Rough Rider condoms! [:D] But on a serious note, they make decent little single actions for plinking. I used to have one but sold it because I never used it. However they are cheap and work well enough. Surprisingly accurate too. -Charging Handle
