Hey guys, thought I'd make the announcement here since I brag about my girl all the time. After noticing that the last 5 and a half years of my life have been the best of my life, and also noticing that those years coincide with a steady, stable, passionate, and fun relationship with the gal, all my excuses for not asking her to marry me started to sound like... well... excuses. I got tired of letting an uncertain job situation dictate what I was doing with my personal life, and the excuse of "well I can't get married because I don't have a job yet and I might not get a job in the same town as her" just started to sound really lame. What was the alternative, take a job in another town, call her every night and visit every weekend anyway? After spending the best five years of my life with her how dumb a call would THAT be? She has taken a teaching job in Holden, MO, which is a little one-horse town about 15 minutes south of Warrensburg, and after the bar exam I'll move in with her there and see what jobs I can scare up. There are opportunities in the area and hopefully some will still be open by the time I get my bar scores back. If not, I've pretty much decided that even working at a bank and not being able to practice law would still be worth it, just to be able to come home to her instead of an empty apartment and a phone. I can always keep looking for jobs as the job market continues to improve.

I've been saying for awhile that once you find a girl who will shoot main battle rifles with you, you'd better keep that one. The G3 clone is practically hers now and she has her own DPMS "Ultralite" AR15 carbine. She'll even shoot submachineguns with me, and check out that posture and form even on full auto! Any wonder I'm in love?

Don't ask where the LEO Mp5SD came from, cause I don't want to tell you that I found it in an abandoned FBI car while the agents were getting drunk in a local bar. Oops.
One last pic, non- gun related. This was taken last year before an awards ceremony, when she got a crapload of merit scholarships for being so kickass. That's why I'm in my law student getup instead of my Punisher T-shirt.

We aren't sure when the wedding is going to be because frankly neither of us really wants to plan it out. At nearly 6 years together though, most of which has involved seeing each other every day, its not like we need to get to know each other better, so it'll probably be a short engagement. We figure we'll get married when we get around to it. NO firing of blank ammunition will be allowed at the wedding... I think...
