They have pre-bans??

I must have the postban model I guess.

Anyways, I paid 235 for mine new back in 99.One 10 rd mag.

I was offered 325 for it, but didn't take it.

I have seen them at gunshows in used condition for 325-400 with NO hi-caps.

I wish I had gotten some hi-caps for mine because it is a fine little rifle and a straight shooter with my reloads.

just the fact it was manufactured prior to 1994
and it's legal to have the Choate folding stock on it

the current gun show rumor is that marlin quit making them.  therefore, they have increased in value by 4 fold.  the .45 model goes for 5x. I bought my camp 9 new for $300 several years ago (probably paid too much [xx(])

Starting from the left in the pic 5,6,7,8 rifles are camp 9x3 and one camp 45, i am lucky to have picked them up at a good price.

Rifles are not preban because of the date of manuf. They are preban because they had enough evil features on the rifle before 94 ban so If yours is as it came from Marlin with no added pistol grip or folding stock or threaded muzzle then it is not preban.

well the guy I bought the rifle from had the stock on it when I bought it & he claimed to be the original owner.
if he had the Choate stock installed before the '94 law went into effect it would be legal correct ??
How would the ATF know any different  ??

What about all the aftermarket folding stocks for Mini14's & M1 carbines?
Your  saying those are technicly illegal too ? (to retrofit to a pre-'94 gun?)
