Thank man, i have done some of those but I like the 100m practices. I often practice clearing my house when i'm home alone, also I practice getting from my room to my son's room as fast as possible while still using cover and checking targets etc. good post!

Goddammit-I just shot a hole in my refrigerator, cabinet, wall and windowsill. For those of you who are wondering...yes, SS109 .223 does over penetrate. It didn't even start to fragment until it exited the wall. Now I gotta figure out an excuse before my wife gets home. Steyr, you owe me $6.99 for a quart of spackling, and some JB weld. Shit, my ears are still ringing.

Don't joke... Theres a Darwin Award waiting to happen. SA has balls of steel posting this on an open forum. Some jackass is likely attempt this stunt with loaded mags and shoot his cat, like in Boondock Saints!

Thanks man! Every time my mom sees me practicing speed reloads, she tells me that I have too much time on my hands and makes me do the dishes or take out the garbage [:D]

How about all basic fundamentals with the use of dummy rounds or snap caps.

... I'd post my excellent, in-home 1911 practice exercise, but a good majority of this board usually gives me flak for it (until they try it) [;)]

I like to run crapper drills. You know, jumping off the toilet with your pants around your ankles. You hop-clear the house while trying to maintain proper sight alignment.

Why not have a family member or friend put stickey targets up around the house and play swat team with an airsoft replica.

For BOTH of you.
1. Make sure the firearm/magazines are unloaded. This should be obvious but...

Yeah thanks ... I was stuck up on the roof with several rifles for over three hours after the goddamn ladder fell over. Next time I'll remember to take my repelling gear up with me. [BD]

Dry fire two rounds, drop the magazine, insert the new magazine and dry fire two rounds. Repeat. Practice for speed and fluidity.

Well, shucks, I don't own one of those toys-- real men own SA autos. [;D] Guess I'll have to practice something else.

I like to play "Sniper" with the neighbors cats and dogs. I get in a window where they can't see me and track them across the yard thru a scope. Then I "fire". Of course I don't use live ammo...

Good post Styer. I have also found, that a laser on the weapon, is an excellent training aid, for point shooting...

I regularly dry fire practice with my handguns. Holding over the screw in a light switch about 15 feet away...practicing keeping a dead-on point of aim through the entire trigger squeeze and let off. It works...I am a pretty darned good pistol shot (if I dare say so myself)...and the main reason is trigger squeeze. . . Another important drill to perform at home is the "[red]Bangin your ole' lady doggy style, when someone breaks in[/red]" drill. However...it requires a partner.
