I've done threads like this in the hometown forum. Obviously if we even need goods or services we would like to do business with a fellow ar15.com member.

But I thought I'd do one on a national level to provide a kind of database for those who own their own business. Of course if your business is service oriented only, you can only barter on a national level to the distance you are willing to travel.

However, if you are a sales related business we can trade goods "at cost" for our own benfit.

For those who don't know I'm a South Florida dealer of firearms and firearms related items.

My wife is an artist that specializes in landscape, wildlife, and special order/custom works.
She has her own .com, so if you ever need any artwork she can probably do it for you.
Mediums include Pastels, ink and pencil, acrylic and oils.
She is not very enthusiastc about portraits, so no, she won't do naked women on your AR butt stock.

My wife, outside being a business/systems analyst, owns her own "custom machine quilting" biz. (I wish that was "custom machine gun" biz, but...) Basically she takes fabric piecework that folks do and turns it into a quilt. I don't know any guys who do fabric piecework, but maybe yous guys have wives/GF's that are engaged in this craft. My wife's biz goes anywhere the UPS truck goes, although we are located in SW Idaho. The biz contact info can be found at www.gmthreadworks.com.

Under the same LLC umbrella, I'm also thinking about doing custom Windows software (and I also do firmware). I've done that for years already as an employee of HP and Cypress Semi, so I thought I might try it on my own. The name of our business, "Garden Mountain Threadworks", works well for both quilting and programming [:)].

That market is getting pretty saturated around here.  However we close one down once in a while.  So you could get a foot in the door if your timing is right.
