a.) Nutrasweet.  It'll kill ya, but not before it preserves your brain in formaldehyde.

b.) Diet Vanilla Coke tastes like ASS.  Sorry, it's true.  In fact, Vanilla Coke from a can tastes pretty bad.  Real vanilla Coke mixed from a soda fountain, that's good.  Same goes for cherry Coke.

Sorry, but we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

I only drink diet, regular is too sweet. I think the diet vanilla is too sweet also, but I'm totally addicted to diet lemon Coke.

I agree.  I sort of like vanilla coke, but anything diet is got a bad taste as far as I'm concerned.

I'll bet they can make diet sodas taste as good as the real thing, but with two different prospering markets, why would they just make one type.  Supermarket shelf space is everything.  They're still hawking TAB after all these years, after all.  A couple weeks ago I saw a lady take a 12 pack of TAB off the shelf.  That's the first time I've ever seen that happen!  Yuck!

just in case anyone wanted to know, vanilla cokeis going over pretty well as far as sales goes, selling approx the same as caf. free diet coke, orange soda,A&W creme soda and sells more than other perminate Coke products, so it will problyl hang around for a while.

Unsweetened ice tea?  That's sacrilegious here in the South.

I like Diet Vanilla Coke.  I loved Vanilla Coke when it came out, but I was trying to lose weight, so I really wanted them to come out with a diet version.  It doesn't taste as good as regular, but I think it tastes better than Diet Coke, so it's a winner for me.  Of course, lately I've been trying to cut out cokes all together, but it's not easy.  You just get sick of water and Splenda-sweetened tea after a while.

Sacrilegious it may be, but it's the only way the stuff is drinkable.  Sweet tea is an abomination.  It says so in Leviticus somewhere.  Really.

Same thing here on the weight loss.  I thought I was doing well, down from 225 to 205, stronger than I've ever been and good cardio too.  Since I quit smoking last year it's hard to control my weight, even though I work out 5-6 days a week.

Anyhoo, I need an occasional break from Diet Rite, and the diet Vanilla Coke fits the bill.

If I wanted a Coke, I would say "I'll take a Coke."  If I wanted a Sprite, I would say "I'll take a Sprite."  Coke is a name brand.  I wouldn't walk into a car dealership and say "I'll take a Chevy" when I want a Ford or a Cadillac or something.

I agree that Nutrasweet is toxic but also that regular coke and pepsi are far too sweet. RC Cola tastes less sweet to me.

How about if you wanted a "Band Aid"?  It's a registered trademark of Johnson & Johnson, but that doesn't keep it from being used as a generic term.  Although it's become a generic term in the US, in most places "Asprin" is still a registered trademark of Bayer.  And let's not forget kleenex, rollerblades, jello, etc.
