I just got confirmation that Maj. Dick Winters, USA (Ret.) will be unable to attend. He sends his regrets but is unable to make the trip.
His letter arrived accompanied by an autographed cover to my copy of the Band of Brothers DVD set! I sent it to him last week and he turned it around really quickly. I am honored to have corresponded with a true American hero. BTW, the inscription reads, "Hang Tough", totally cool!! |
