I vote Elba.   To all the guys saying Jason is too bald, Connery (the fucking bond) wore a toupee/hairpiece in all of his films as bond

I second this man. He's got the look, and is a decent actor.

Michael Fassenbender cold pull it off easily.

The Bond role is probably one of the toughest to cast right.

They have to have ALL the traits, not just one or two -- a British gentlemen who will kill without second thought, gotta be smart, smooth, tough, and a good actor.

Having one or two traits doesn't do it.

Hiddlestone doesn't appear to be too tough.
Statham isn't very smooth or smart.
Idris Elba -- a black actor would be interesting, but people had a shit fit over Daniel Craig being blonde.
Damian Lewis  -- meh, a carrot top at ?
James Norton -- maybe
Tom Hardy - is tough, but maybe lacks smooth smarts ?

He could pull it off. Idris Elba would be a great pick as well I think.

His past roles did not display the sophistication that is needed to be a Bond.

Hiddleston is a fag.

Fassbender would be aces at it.

Cavill is my number two.

Clive Owen is too old now.  Maybe ten years ago.  Not now.

He's 49 now and you have to figure that the next Bond they will probably want to make 2-3 more films with.  That puts him in Roger Moore "A View to a Kill" territory.

We just need to see a (well-written) series of U.N.C.L.E. movies.

EDIT: But, in lieu of that, he's definitely the best candidate. It would be funny to have Superman also be Bond at the same time.

No one but Henry Cavill should get the job in my opinion. That said I'd like to see a seperate spy series spun around Idris Elba, he'd make a great washed up and worn out spy similar to his Luther character.

You guys are really making me ponder this Henry Cavill thing.

I think I'm emotionally attached to his U.N.C.L.E. character, because that movie was just soooo much better than the last Bond film.

I think the whole Bond series has lost its way.

But, I suppose it would be nice to let ol' Henry talk relatively normal. Playing Americans has to get old.

He has done too many movies. It would FEEL like a rerun of a transporter. I was kind of looking forward to Idris Elba but i seems like it was just an internet rumor.

Sorry...an arfcommer can't be Bond.

"You want me to sneak in and steal the plans? Why? I'll just shoot everyone and walk out the front door and call it a day...hang on, let me call the Cola Warrior folks; I bet if I promise a case of peeps and a keg of beer I could get 2 or 3 of them to make a day out of it."

I was gonna say Hollywood's obvious choice is that transgender Arquette, but s/he killed themselves already. At least they can still count on him/her voting for Hillary.

Never saw Parker but I always thought Payback with Mel Gibson was a very fun action movie, based on the same character.

Daniel Craig is a liberal turd. He also does an excellent portrayal of Bond. Honestly my favorite bond, I like that his bond is a little darker of a person. that being said, still a liberal turd and I would like to see a new portrayal. Might be cool to incorporate Craig into next movie. Show him getting whacked and subsequently replaced as if nothing happened. Only problem there is you're locking in the rest of the cast for the next set of films.
