Here are a few real turds...

Top Gun- Chick Flick disguised as a war movie

Pearl Harbor- Another chick flick, must be a bruckhiemer specialty

Firebirds-  Top gun with helicopters, and an even worse script!

Iron Eagle- Cheese

Missing In Action- Or anything else with chuck norris

Rambo 2 & 3 (original wasn't great but not too bad)

Thin Red Line- Somewhat incomprehnsible but there are a few good scenes

Battlefield Earth- L Ron Hubbard and John Travolta.  Need i say more?

The A Team- Not a movie, but still so bad that it deserves honorable mention

C'mon guys!  How many other crappy war movies are there?

Casualties of war sucked!

But i thought Gi jane was entertaining.  It was fun to watch demi try to pt with those awful fake tits

i actually liked platoon, but it's sort of a controversial movie around here

Apocolypse Now was kind of crappy too, but not quite godawful

"U.S. SEALS" (NOT the Charlie Sheen one!) was absolutely AWFUL!

The Charlie Sheen one wasn't TOO bad, if you decided to suspend reality for two hours.

Yeah, I especially liked the scene with the three modern guided missile DDs or frigates getting bombed. I started laughing my ass off when I saw that scene....my wife thought that I had finally flipped out.

I don't know if you'd consider it a war movie or not, but I thought that Arnold's "Commando" was extremely amusing. I really did like that Valmet he had though.

Heartbreak Ridge is one of the finest war movies ever made!!

"Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could a round through a fleas ass at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in." G.Sgt. Highway

War movies that suck:

Battle of the Bulge
Castle Keep

"The Patriot".

The bloopers and PC start when the movie begins, and don't stop until the credits roll. Truly a shame.

Have to agree with all the choices so far. I was especially offended by Pearl Harbor when they had that a$$clown, Alec Baldwin portray Jimmy Doolittle, what an insult!

Pretty disappointing now but it seemed like a great movie when I was a kid.  It's a shame because it could have been a classic if it had been done well.

Windtalkers absloutely sucked.  But what did I expect from a Woo film -- realistic action.  Someone smack me upside the head.

G.I. Jane: [puke]

Casulties of War: [puke]

Starship Troopers: Ruined one of my favorite books. [:(!]

Battlefield Earth: Not only a bad interpretation of a fun book, I think I suffered some hearing loss from the sound being so loud. [xx(]

Let's not forget "A Bridge Too Far."  It blows dead bear carcasses.

Sawgunner has the field covered pretty well.

Alec Baldwin?  What about that total fag mother f'er Ben Afleck?  That guy is the worst excuse for an actor I have ever seen.  I will never watch the movie Dare Devil because of that sh**bag.  Why does Hollywood continue to cast him as the leading role when he is not leading role material.  That part he had in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was just right for him.  That's all he needs and all he is worth.

Ben Afleck gets all of his roles because of Matt Damon. They are best friends and Afleck rides his coat tails.

The Thin Red Line was worse than Showgirls! At least there were naked women in Showgirls. Sean Penn and George Clooney? What in the hell was I thinking when I went to see that piece of crap at the theater? Oh yeah, I was thinking that my wife wanted to see Clooney and I might get some
tail if she got hot and bothered.

Not exactly a war movie: I never saw "Basic" but I heard it sucked

1. Casualties of War: An extra helping of dogshit on film.

2. The Thin Red Line: Where Tylenol PM, a hammer, and vomit come together in one package.

3. Apocolypse Now: Never has such a renowned movie disappointed me so much. This is perhaps worse than TRL.

4. Pearl Harbor: So much was wasted on such a great concept. How the heck did I wind up with a copy of it in my collection, anyway?

5. Anything with Chuck Norris: 'Nuff said.

6. Rambo 2 & 3: The first one was moderately entertaining. The rest were simply cash cows that were filmed to make money.

7. Heartbreak Ridge: One word: Cheesy

8. Top Gun: Not alot of entertainment and even less war.

9. Tigerland: Haven't seen it, but hey, I heard it sucked.

10. Clear and Present Danger: Fairly well done and keeps your attention for over an hour. Unfortunately, it lasts three.

I agree one hundred percent here. I heard for years how it was an awesome film, where people were even saying that it was a true classic. I finally saw it not too far back on TV. What a terrible movie. What are people thinking out there? Yeah it’s a classic, a classic disappointment!
