then you are going to love what i found today. my store recieved a case of 100rd 165gr .40 each box costing $14.97 per box
and we also got a case of 100rd 230gr .45 it cost $19.97 per box

looks like wal-mart noticed how good the 9mm was selling and figured that the .40 and .45 should do just as well. i don't know if all wal-marts will have this, but i suspect they will. i scanned the item and it is active/replenishable. which means we are going to start carrying it all the time now. i thought they got enough of my money already, now i am gonna be broke all the time. atleast i'll have plenty of ammo

Heck, I get Winchester Ranger SXT .40 for about that price. Then again, I am buying in lots of 25+ cases off the state contract, too.

I read somewhere (American Rifleman?) that they're going to start selling 100rd boxes of Winchester 147gr JHP 9mm, too.  I hope the price is good.

10 bucks per 50 isn't exactly cheap for 45acp. You can get lots of it for under 8 bucks.

NICE!!!  I own a .45 and .40sw.

I thought the wallmart up here stopped selling ammo because its not visible anymore (except for 12Ga).

I was just thinking that yesterday.

the next cheapest thing, that my wal-mart carries, is $12.97 per 50. so $9.99 per 50 is a pretty good price if you ask me. who sells it for $8? and what brand is it?

About the best deal around here is 10.99 for CCI blazer 230 grain fmj.  I love to beable to find Fiocchi for UNder $10. I think Fiocchi is very under rated ammo. Thats a deal for Winchester .45 acp here. I hope I can find it Wal-mart around here. I just ordered 250 rounds of Wolf From the sportsmans guide. I hope it works in my Kimber.

This is great news. Great price on 9mm, good price on .40, okay price on .45.

still very happy to hear.

I usually get hosed paying shipping. So I usually don't get a deal from mail order.

Plus, NO SALES TAX in Montana.

45acp prices:

Natchez has Blazer for $7.80 a box all the time. I just bought 2000 rounds of UMC from Cheaper than dirt for under $8 a box. You can also find S&B for less than $8. There's lots of it out there if you look.

CCI Blazer, UGHH, do they still make that stuff?

The non-reloadable gray alum. cases?  I've never shot their .45, but I bought a case of .40 a long time ago and had a lot of feeding problems through both a G22 and a USP40C.

Maybe I just had bad luck, but after I shot up that case, I swore I'd never buy that stuff again.

Where are you getting 230FMJs for that cheap? I've been paying around $60/1000 for bullets.

Total was 8.99 with shipping but that includes the shipping for the 9mm (1000rds) I bought with this ammo. I bought it during their $15 off per 1000 sale they had a month or two ago.

I bitch about 100 dollars of repairs to a 6 month old Bushy due to a bad primer on a Wolf .223. I started reloading after that. And everyone laughed when I told them. I hope it doesnt happen to you. I still use Wolf 762X39 in my SKS though.

I trust the Russians to know what works in their caliber.  The Fiocci that I used (1000 rounds worth) had many problems in the G19 I had; hard primers and a soft hit just didn't match.  Needless to say  I don't reccomend Fiochi for anything other than plinking and in non-Glocks.

BTW if the Italians come to attack us I hope they use Fiochi ammo.
