as much as I like norinco products

Fuckem the chinese are our real enemies and there is no reason we should be funding them. When we have to fight them we don't want them to have even more military power.

lets just hope they don't get a real good navy.

Who else are you going to support hitlery?
Bush is our friend, in texas he did right to carry and recently I heard he pardoned some guy for illegally carrying or something like that.

He has also worked it out so that the AWB won't pass with out looking bad to the antis and keeping his promise.

and the administration has also interpreted the 2nd as a individual right.

i am torn over that. I do think supporting the chinese arms companies is not a good thing. Then again there is so much chinese crap already here it likely wouldn't make a big difference.

While I dearly do love a good conspiricy, I don't think that's the case here. My question is why just Norinco?? Tha article makes clear that ALL civilian and military production are interchangable in China. Why single out Norinco...

(Shit, now that I wrote that, you may be right!!!)

If Hamas or Al Qaeda raised funds by selling widgets in our country I'd expect them to shut it down too - even if the widgets were firearms.
We oughta stop importing even more ChiComm shit.

FYI, Under a '93 Clinton trade deal, China 'volunteered' to cease all exports of centerfire arms to the US.  THAT was backdoor control, as China was granted much more than it gave up in the deal, so they were only too happy to stop arms exports.

I agree in principle with anti-Chinese sentiment, but only because of the Communist political position of the Chinese.  If they were to abandon Communism/socialism,  I'd have no problem with them.

But then again...one of the most fun any of us could ever have on vacation would be to visit the Norinco manufacturing facility's visitor's complex, where YOU can, for a relatively small amount of money, try out virtually every defense product they make.   RPG's are something like seven bucks a shot, and you can try out full auto AK's for a handful of bucks and a case of ammo is like 20 bucks.    I think you can even try your hand at driving a tank or fire a field artillery piece!

It'd be huge fun to go out there with about a thouand dollars, a video camera, and an intent to get your money's worth!

If I can find a link to this,  I'll post it.

The Chinese will change the name of the company and bring their stuff in under a new name, our gobment knows this, it's all political games to make the peeps think someone is keeping watch over the waterhole.  I do love my Norinco AK though, it's an inanimate object, could have been made in Canada right.

Very true.  No products have been banned, merely a company.  The company will be "sold" off in phoney trades and the products will be imported under new names.  It really isn't going to have much of an effect.

I think we should worry about something other than this.  The retail price on those trenchguns wasn't much lower than the price on a Mossberg anyway.   I guess some people would rather have a trenchgun ? ? ?

To me it's not a second amendment issue.

You ban Chinese guns, then a half hour later you want to ban them again.
