Does anyone know how to recover images from a (stupidly, by me)  formatted CF card?   I've seen a few ads through search engines which purport to do this, but require sendind the disk off somewhere.  If there is software, etc.  I'd appreciate a pointer.

I have successfully recovered deleted files from a CF card in my Kodak camera. Again, they were deleted not formatted. If you have taken subsequent pictures on the card you will have less a chance. I haven't tried recovery from a formatted card. I used some undelete/recover software that I got off KaZaA, it has been a while and I cannot remember the prog name. I also had a card reader connected to my computer. That way the card gets a drive letter allowing the software to see it. I hope this helps.
