Sounds like a club me and my best friend started when we were 10....

Get the book "Unintended Consequences", By John Ross....THAT is the plan.

Wobblin Goblin's paranoia says: This is an FBI or ATF sting operation.

Wobblin Goblin's patriotic side says: This sounds like a good idea, except for the following:

A. I'd have a hard time giving up my life and family for some possible nut case who happens to barricade himself into his house over a trifle.

B. Most militias in Colonial America were made up of neighbors WHO KNEW EACH OTHER, not a bunch of strangers running around trying to figure out who was in the wrong, for what reasons, and if the family they were rushing to defend was actually WORTH defending.

Way too many problems with the "National Militia" concept.

Sorry, but I don't give out "Come and get me." information to nobody.

Sure, it sounds reasonable.....

But I don't trust people anymore.

The only "pact" I have with anyone is the "I've known you for years" pact.

Bottom line: I'm OK........but I don't know about you.

that sounds like an invitation to a midnight visit.  don't know anything about this dude and certainly not going to give anyone "out there" any info on my own.   i second wobblins point - most were initially at least local and know each other.  also, getting involved in your local community will help out more in the long run.  not hiding in the caves or banding together with unknowns and issuing a challenge of sorts.

Rick Stanley is not a fed.

But I don't really like the idea myself.

When the time comes, we will know, the clock is at about 11:58.......

Most of those involved in the revolution were ordinary people, that rose up in extrodinary circumstances. As it will be in the next revolution. Not everyone was a George Washington, or a Paul Revere.

[rofl] Yeah, I want to sign up for that![rofl2] I know who Rick Stanley is, he got himself arrested trying to prove a point about his 2A rights and he lost in court. Now, I'm not saying that he's not right in regards to the Constitutional priniciples but the way to fight those injustices is with the law & in court. Unfortunately our court system is occupied with a large number of Socialist judges at the present time. Anyway, signing up with that is nothing more than an invitation to the Waco/Weaver treatment, you'll get a free "Right wing, Separatist, Government Subversive" badge for all your neighbors to see. Geesh, Stanley is asking you to be his (sheep) follower. Who in their right mind would go defend a neighbor without questioning the reason? Well if your a Jim Jones type follower..... Who were those guys out west that tried creating their own country, printed their own money, didn't pay taxes and are now living at Club Fed?? With the Patriot Act, & concern with domestic terrorism, something like that is an express invitation to personal ruin.
I for one believe in "A Militia Of One" 1* concept. Organize with no one, ally with no one, follow no one but the Lord, obey the law, fill your head with knowledge & skills, prepare & train for yourself & family. God forbid should something SHTF come down, those who are prepared will find others like them to fight evil.

not trying yo hijack this thread, but in the american revolution, you're right.  not everyone was a washington, etc.  in fact, at least a third of the country was just trying to stay out of it, so we are taught, anyway.

a real leader will be one of integrity and someone the people will follow.  in a good cause, God will provide those needed and we, the thinking ones, will have to choose.  with that in mind:   what is your trip-wire?  gun banning, gov't press control, elimination of private schools and homeschooling?  where would you see it starting to snowball?  bear in mind the actual conflict in the 1770's wasn't started in one day.  it built over a period of years.

thats pretty much what i was thinkin too.

ricks a good guy, but i think he may be unaware of the side affects. if i knew more local gunnies, i might start a mutual defence org. here.

and i do have "unintended consequences" good book. but i shure as hell dont have the dough to finance a revolution.

oh, well. ill just watch from the sidelines on this one..
