OK personally, I think TSHTF before American politicians ever get around to an outright ban on guns.

However, just for conversation's sake, let's suppose that sometime, in the future, it could be tomorrow, it could be 200 years from now, guns will be banned in America.

Suppose you're kidnapped by the leaders of the NWO and put into a room with no windows and you are forced to make a decision.

The interrogators say to you, "We are going to ban guns in the USA.  When should the ban take effect?  You can choose a date as early as next week, or choose a date 200 years in the future.  We've already decided to ban guns, now it's up to [b]you[/b] to decide when the ban will take effect."

Obviously, this question is purely hypothetical.  When would you choose to ban guns?  By the way, you're not allowed to tell them to piss off.  You [b]must[/b] choose a date.

And don't give me any tinfoil-hat comments, as I said this is purely hypothetical.  For all I know there is no NWO conspiracy.

Manufacture a "terrorist event" of such magnitude that the american sheeple would beg for the government to take away their freedoms and guns in exchange for safety. Then intiate a rewards based program encouraging the sheeple to turn in those who refuse to comply.  For a modest stipend, I would gladly offer my services as a consultant to the UN for this project.

With a 200 yr limit, make it 200yrs from now...

2 centuries is a long time... First, in 200yrs guns may be as obselete as a sword & shield is today... Second, any 'powers' that exist today will likely be long-gone then...

So they have 200yrs to try and stay relevant AND 200yrs for us to invent new weapons (Something that Americans are quite good at. We invented the submarine, revolver (IIRC), chain guns (Gatling, Civil war, big thing with a crank on the side), the airplane, etc...) that they haven't been able to decide to ban yet...
